Jhirna Forest Rest House
Jhirna Forest Rest House is one of the popular stay options among naturalists and wildlife enthusiasts inside Corbett Park. It is around 20 KM from FRH Ramnagar city and takes around 45 minutes to 1 hour to reach here. Jhirna Zone Corbett National Park is open to tourists for day safaris throughout the year, however, safaris are not allowed during rainy days. But, night stay is only available from November to June.
Accommodation Options at Jhirna Forest Rest House
There is booking for tourists for night stay at Jhirna FRH from 15th November to 14th June every year. Jhirna FRH has total of 2 rooms and extra bed facility is also available on request.
The Forest Department has covered the entire area with a fence and a large ground is a part of the complex from where the movement of animals can be seen throughout the day.
Kitchen facilities are available and the cost of food is pocket friendly. Hot water facility is available and electricity is provided in the evening as it depends on solar energy.
Safari starts half an hour before the guests staying in the private resort. Hence, it gives more chance to the people living in Jhirna to spot wildlife.
Note- TV facility is not available inside the rest house. Similarly, phone networks may not function properly inside the campus area. Always carry a spare battery or power bank with you to recharge your camera and phone batteries. Electricity will be available inside the campus from sunset to dawn.
